The Westgate Practice - Patient Participation Group

Any individual, registered as a patient with the Westgate Practice, is invited to contribute to this group.

This is a forum for you to discuss topics of interest. This could be making suggestions regarding services or processes thus enabling us to enhance your experience of the Practice. We hope that by listening to your ideas and feedback we may be able to develop the services we provide in the future. It may also be an opportunity for you to influence the local NHS.

Your perspective, as a patient, is crucial. Patient engagement is essential if we are to develop a successful working partnership for the future.

This is a “virtual” Patient Participation Group which can be accessed via this website.

Each month a new topic for discussion will be displayed and your views invited. These comments will be added to the Patient Participation Group web page (appropriately summarised - we would remove anything that would breach patient confidentiality or offend). Use the “contact us” section below to forward your comments for inclusion.

Each month we shall review your comments and inform you of any changes or developments we are planning in response to your input.

The Patient Participation Group is not a forum for raising a complaint. If you have any concerns about the Practice, its services or processes, please contact the Practice Manager who will address these directly using the NHS complaints procedure.

The topic of discussion in February is:

South Staffordshire Primary Care Trust Survey

Perceptions of NHS Services

South Staffordshire Primary Care Trust (PCT) is asking members of Practice based Patient Participation Groups (PPG's) in South Staffordshire to take part in a survey to access their experiences of health services over the last 12 months.

You can complete the questionnaire in two ways: email us at www.westgatepractice.co.uk  via our contact us page, requesting a copy to be posted to your home address (details of your address will be required at the time of request). Alternatively questionnaires are available for collection at the surgery until Thursday 25th February 2010.

Your answers are completely anonymous and confidential.

A summary of responses will be made available from March 2010.

Thank you for your continued support.
